The Eco Mode allows for saving a substantial amount of battery life. If you choose to operate in this regime, you only see a single screen, which displays information on the battery percentage, time and distance left. While in eco mode the voice directions are on. The regime saves up to 50% of the battery and spares data traffic because no maps or tiles are loaded.
Below are the main features of the Eco mode.
- When the user is in Eco Mode, the screen automatically goes to Lock Screen Mode. This means that the phone will automatically shut down the display after the time set in the phones’ settings. The user will still hear voice instructions for their routes. While in Eco Mode the users will be notified for upcoming speed cameras (only if he has this option turned on in the application settings menu)
- When the battery is less than 20%, the application will automatically turn off the Auto-Lock Screen option. In this way GPS Voice Navigation will allow the user to access all information in Eco Mode even when the battery level is critically low.
Eco mode is accessible via the leaf icon on the main menu.
n this regime not only you can save battery and data, but can also perform different operations on your phone while GPS Voice Navigation is running. Background mode is accessible via the Home button or the On/Off button of the phone. Another helpful feature of this mode is the toast notification – if the OS kills the application (in cases of critically low battery) – GPS Voice Navigation will notify the user.
